Lofoten + 1 Woche Wandern, aber wo?

Hallo liebe Forumsgemeinde, geschätzte Norwegenexperten;)

Gestern Abend hat sich zwischen mir und meiner Freundin die Vorstellung verhärtet, dass wir im Sommer 2013 zu den Lofoten wollen. Erste Nachforschungen im Netz haben ergeben, dass es wohl am entspantesten wäre mit dem Flugzeug über Oslo nach Bodo zu reisen und von dort die Fähre zu nehmen.
Jetzt dachte ich mir aber, dass 2 Wochen Lofoten vieleicht etwas einseitig wäre und ob es nicht die Möglichkeit gibt, von Bodo aus eine vieleicht 1 wöchige Wandertour zu unternehmen. Meine Frage ist also, welche Gegenden sind für eine Trekkingtour mit Zelt zu empfehlen und gut von Bodo aus zu erreichen?
Im Anschluss wäre dann eine Woche Lofoten geplant.

Kurze Info zu uns.
Wir haben dieses Jahr den West Highland Way gelaufen, komplett mit Zelt und verpflegung. Dabei haben wir Blut geleckt und wollen mehr. Als sportlich würde ich uns auch bezeichnen, also können es ruhig mehr als 10 km am Tag sein.

Ein Blick in googlemaps könnte dir deine Frage schnell beantworten. Im "Hinterland" von Bodö liegt der Nationalpark Rago mit Anschluss an den Nationalpark Padjelanta auf schwedischer Seite. Da lassen sich so einige schöne Touren zusammenstellen. Stöber einfach mal hier in den Reiseberichten!

Genauso gut erreichbar ist die Gegend um Sulitjelma, oder das Saltfjellet. Ich empfehle dir http://ut.no/kart, statt die aktuellen Vinterløyper 2012 solltest du aber Sommerstier links auswählen und natürlich Hytter lassen. Dann hast du markierte (Sommer-)Wanderwege eingezeichnet und Hütten und kannst basierend darauf auch gezielt nach Reiseberichten hier im Forum suchen.

Es gibt von Svolwaer ,A ,Kabelvog möglichkeiten kurze Turen (2-3 Tage ) .
Lofoten sind ein Traum beim schönem Wetter.

Since I live in Bodø and go in the mountains quite a bit, I may also have a tip or two regarding a possible tour. First: how fast do you travel on a normal path? You say that 10km per day is no trouble, for me that is just 3 hours walking. And since the sun in the summer is up all day, you are not in a hurry to set up the tent before dark as it never gets dark at all.

The map that Dingsbums linked to goves a good overview of the most used tracks. But most terrain is walkable also where there is not a marked track. Just make sure that there is no large rivers or steep cliffs, then you may put the route as you like. Also please note that there are tracks into Sweden that may be nice. The huts on the map is just DNT huts. But there are quite a lot of open and free huts in addition to these. They may be nice to have if you need to dry up. There is no cellphone coverage in the mountains as a main rule. But you may be lucky from a summit or on some places.

I have heard that the WHW is famous ao for a lot of rain. Here in Norway it may also rain quite a bit. Mostly along the coast and even more close to some of the glaciers we have here. Along the border to Sweden the weather is usually a bit dryer.

Super, die Karte ist ja echt cool. Ein freund hatte mir davon schon erzählt und meinte, dass man sie aufs smartphone laden kann und sie dann auch ohne Internetzugang anschauen kann. Denke aber, dass ist eher was für die Planung und nicht fürs eigentlich Wandern, da muss schon eine ordentliche Karte her.

Ich habe auch ein zwei wirklich tolle Berichte gesehen. Der eine beginnt in Sulitjelma, was wohl Busanbindung zu Bodo hat, und die Bilder haben mich direkt umgehauen. Ich denke das meine krobe Planung mit einer Woche Wandern östlich von Bodo, dann zurück und mit der Fähre auf die Lofoten fahren durchaus recht realisierbar ist.

As we walked the WHW in August this year we were walking through the bluddy Sahara! We nearly had only sun shine and really hot weather. I gues we might wont be that lucky in Norway
Can you tell me which month in the summer would be good to do a one week trekking trip around Bodo and than spending one week at the Lofoten?

Good for you that you only had sun on the WHW. You could be lucky in Norway too, but no guarantee regarding the weather. Be prapared for the worst and hope for the best is the motto here.

The best time for walking is from mid july till end august. I took a trip from Sulitjelma some years ago starting 11/7 and you see that there still were some snow left https://picasaweb.google.com/otto.st...lleneJuli2008# This trip is aprox 80km, and I used 3,5 days, but then I'm a fast hiker . Since you come with the bus to Sulis you must walk from the busstop to the first hut Ny-Sulitjelma. I had my car and culd drive to Ny-Sulis. Sulis (short for Sulitjelma) is a good place to start bot that round trip I did as well as several other routes. You may also take a more southern route into Sweden like: Sulis-Muorki-Mavas-Coarvi (or Balvasshytta and then Coarvi) and back to Sulis. Or the third alternative Sulis- Coarvi - Balvasshytta- Argalad- Trygvebu- Graddis and then Lønsdal where you take the train to Bodø.
